Based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), female infertility is often associated with imbalances or deficiencies in the organs such as the kidneys, spleen, and liver, as well as insufficient Qi and blood. It may also involve pathological factors like Blood Stasis or Phlegm-Dampness. Typically, infertility results from a combination of these factors. Therefore, treatment plans are highly individualized, tailored to each patient's specific condition.
Dr. Su requires all infertility patients to chart their Basal Body Temperature (BBT). The treatment strategy is rooted in strengthening the kidneys, as they govern reproduction in TCM. This foundation is combined with methods to soothe the liver, fortify the spleen, regulate Qi and blood, and harmonize Yin and Yang. Additional approaches are used to address specific issues: removing blood stasis if present or strengthening the spleen to resolve phlegm and dampness.
The treatment is carefully aligned with the four distinct phases of the menstrual cycle (the post-menstruation, ovulation, premenstrual, and menstrual phases). Dr. Su applies corresponding acupuncture techniques and prescribes specific Chinese herbal formulas for each phase to support the body's natural rhythm.
Over her 30 years of clinical practice, Dr. Su has accumulated extensive and profound experience. She has successfully helped numerous patients achieve pregnancy and realize their dream of having their own babies.
